Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran on Tuesday said the Hindi film industry post the 1990s has been pathbreaking in taking Indian cinema to the world, and regional language films will forever be indebted to it for showing the way.

Prithviraj, who has directed Malayalam cinema superstar Mohanlal in L2: Empuraan and also plays a prominent role in it, releasing this Thursday. Replying to a question on lessons that Hindi cinema, which is going through a dull phase, needed to learn from other industries, Prithviraj praised Bollywood and said every industry goes through different phases.

“There is a lot for everyone to learn from everywhere. I understand the conversation and praise around Malayalam cinema of late. But make no mistake it was not too long ago that we were sitting across tables in Kerala and thinking, ‘How is Hindi cinema doing this?’ “It was a time not too far back when maverick filmmakers like Anurag (Kashyap), Vikramaditya Motwane and Hansal Mehta burst onto the scene and started making content that made us think ‘wow’ .Yes, Malayalam cinema is going through a great phase, but these phases happen to every cinema periodically,” the actor-filmmaker said at a promotional event for Empuraan.

Prithviraj said he would not be surprised if, a couple of years later, people were once again praising films coming out of Bollywood. “But one thing that most aspirational about Hindi cinema post the 90s is how it has taken its cinema to the world. Hindi cinema has been absolutely pathbreaking in taking in taking Indian cinema to the world and in helping people around the world discover the content we create in this country. For all the regional languages, however much pan-Indian success we achieve, we will forever be indebted to Hindi cinema for having shown us the way,” he said.

Every child possesses some form of talent, and if they pursue their passion with dedication in their chosen field, success is inevitable. This was the message shared by Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty during his interaction with the media at the three-day ‘Delhi Creators Summit,’ organized by the Indian Institute of Creative Skills (IICS). Pookutty, who won an Oscar for sound design in Slumdog Millionaire at the age of just 37, emphasized that young people should strive to turn their passion into a profession. He also noted that the Government of India recognized the importance of skill development as early as 2012 and began working towards this goal.

Pookutty further explained that while every child is unique, many struggle to recognize their own talents. Often, due to societal or family pressures, they do not receive the opportunity to nurture their abilities. He highlighted that the collaboration with the Government of India is focused on skill development to help young people discover and cultivate their potential. He advised the youth to first evaluate their interests before choosing a career path, as selecting a profession aligned with their passion will allow them to excel and succeed.

It is also important to note that the Indian Institute of Creative Skills (IICS), with support from the Government of India, is soon to be formally inaugurated. During this announcement, Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO of the National Skill Development Council (NSDC) and Managing Director of NSDC International (NSDCI), addressed the media, sharing that the institute’s mission is to uncover the inherent potential in every child across the country and present it to the world.
Providing more details about the Indian Institute of Creative Skills (IICS), Mr. Tiwari highlighted that the institute offers world-class facilities. It is equipped with top-tier mentors, and most importantly, it is part of the Skill India Mission. Those who acquire skills here will receive certificates from Skill India. A wide range of skills will be taught under one roof, and in the future, similar institutes will be established across the country.

Dr. Mohit Soni, CEO of the Media and Entertainment Skills Council (MESC), congratulated the participants of the three-day ‘Delhi Creators Summit.’ He emphasized that IICS stands out due to its world-class infrastructure and professional trainers. Dr. Akhil Kumar, speaking about the ‘Delhi Creators Summit,’ shared that the event brought together creators with a wide range of follower counts, from those with millions of followers to those with just a few thousand. Mfn 16 Set to Thrill MMA Fans On February 28 at Siri Fort Stadium, Delhi

Co-founders Krishna Shroff and Ayesha Shroff officially announced MFN 16 at an exclusive press conference held today at Le Meridien, Connaught Place, New Delhi. स्टोरी प्लॉट
दिल्ली की पंजाबी फैमिली का मुंडा अंकुर चड्ढा (अर्जुन कपूर ) प्रभलीन कौर (भूमि )से शादी करके अपनी खुशहाल जिंदगी गुजार रहा है लेकिन यहां भी सब कुछ ठीक नहीं है करीब पांच साल चली शादी के बाद इन दोनों के रिश्तों में अब पहले जैसी बात नहीं यही वजह है अब यह शादी तलाक से जूझती ही नजर आ रही है. अंकुर शादी की कड़कड़ाहट भरी यादों से वह चाहकर भी नहीं निकल पा रहा है. अंकुर का दोस्त (हर्ष गुजराल) उसे दिल से इस टेंशन भरे बुरे वक्त से निकलने में उसकी मदद कर रहा है,लेकिन रिजल्ट जीरो ही है ।

इसी बीच अपने फैमिली बिजनेस के की एक डील के लिए अंकुर को ऋषिकेश जाना पड़ता है. यहां उसकी मुलाकात अपनी कॉलेज फ्रेंड अंतरा खन्ना (रकुलप्रीत) से होती है और फिर दोनों में प्यार हो जाता है. अब इस मजेदार कहानी का क्लाइमेक्स क्या है यह जानने के किए और क्या उनकी शादी हो पाती है या नहीं इसके लिए आपको मेरे हसबैंड की बीवी देखने के लिए सिनेमा का रुख करना होगा। यह फिल्म फुल पैसा वसूल फिल्म है जो आपकी हर कसौटी पर खरा उतरेगी। फिल्म में अर्जुन की भूमिका काफी इंप्रेसिव है बहुत दिनों के बाद उन्होंने अपनी अभिनय की छाप छोड़ी है, भूमि पेडनेकर और रकुल प्रीत की नोकझोंक गुदगुदाती है हर्ष गुजराल की एंट्री अच्छी है उन्होंने काफी मेहनत की है जो फिल्में में दिखाई देती हैं।
