Delhi Capitals Celebrated Delhi’s Essence by Partnering with Savera on “Run For Good 2.0”

New Delhi / Rohan Sharma. The two main sponsors of the Savera ‘Run For Good’ event, Central Park, and the city’s own Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, the Delhi Capitals, worked together brilliantly to make the recently concluded second edition of the event happen at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on Sunday, March 17.

This partnership embodied the spirit of Delhi and demonstrated Delhi Capitals’ dedication to community involvement and social responsibility. The IPL franchise showed how committed they were to improving the lives of those in need by actively taking part in activities like the Savera ‘Run For Good’. Their engagement promoted compassion and solidarity among Delhi’s populace in addition to increasing awareness of significant social issues.

“As an integral part of Delhi’s vibrant fabric, the Delhi Capitals proudly partnered with the Savera Association for the ‘Run For Good’ event,” said Sukhvinder Singh, Interim CEO of the Delhi Capitals, reflecting on the occasion. Our dedication to improving our community extended beyond cricket; we also wanted to embody the essence of our city by promoting harmony, kindness, and constructive change.”
This event, which was planned by Artkonnect in association with the Savera Association, was intended to have a long-lasting beneficial influence. Proceeds raised from the marathon directly helped these children, who also ran alongside the participants, signifying inclusiveness and humanity.

“At Savera Association, we’re committed to nurturing underprivileged children and ensuring their health, education, and well-being,” stated Dr. Minu Bakshi, Honorary Chairperson of the organization. Run For Good dismantles obstacles by giving our kids access to healthcare, hope, and empowerment.”
The director and founder of Artkonnect Management, Mr. Anand Kanwar, stated, “We view ‘Run For Good’ as a celebration of a healthy lifestyle, rather than merely a run. Our goal is to establish it as the leading carnival in India, providing a memorable event that is brimming with happiness, mirth, and the sense of giving back.”

Apart from the three main races—the 3K Savera Inclusivity Run, the 5K Family Run, and the 10K Timed Run—everyone in attendance could find plenty of entertainment and diversions. Top finishers in the 10K run earned outstanding rewards, including gift certificates from Puma Nitro and gadgets from Gizmore.
Following the race, participants enjoyed a carnival-like atmosphere at the friends and family area, complete with a food court, live music, and prize presentations. There was also the Delhi Capitals fan zone, where supporters could participate in activities and quizzes.
