Qualifier 1:  Lucknow Lions Break Haryanvi Hunters' Unbeaten Streak

In the first playoff clash, Lucknow Lions captain Anurag Dwivedi outsmarted Haryanvi Hunters’ skipper Elvish Yadav, with a crushing 52-run victory. Elvish Yadav won the toss and sent the Lucknow Lions to bat first. Despite losing opener Akash Yadav (12 off 4) early, the Lions roared back thanks to a blistering 61-run partnership between Aman Deep Singh (54 off 17) and Deepak Kumar Meena (41 off 10).

Aman Deep and Ashish Kumar Meena (26 off 13) added 65 runs off 22 balls for the fourth wicket, building a solid foundation. Apoorv Tiwari’s late blitz of 40* off 8 balls pushed Lucknow to an imposing total of 198/5 in 10 overs.

Haryanvi Hunters struggled right from the start as Lucknow’s Harpal Saikia dismantled their top order, taking 3 wickets in the first over. Captain Elvish Yadav (6 off 2) couldn’t lead a comeback, and the Hunters were reduced to 36/7 after 3.1 overs. Although Lalit Yadav (49 off 12) and Moksh Murgul (54 off 17) fought valiantly with a 77-run partnership for the 8th wicket, it wasn’t enough to save them. The Hunters were all out for 146 in 8.4 overs, marking their first loss of the tournament.

Eliminator: Mumbai Disruptors Outlast Punjab Veers in a Nail-Biter

In the Eliminator, Harsh Beniwal’s Punjab Veers won the toss and chose to bat first, but they lost their first wicket without scoring. Rahul Bisht (28 off 11) and Anuj Nagar (70 off 23) then powered Punjab to a competitive 147/9 in 10 overs. Vipin Bhardwaj was the standout bowler for Mumbai, taking 3 wickets for 25 runs, while captain Suyyash Rai and Arham Abbasi each claimed 2 wickets.

Chasing 148, Mumbai Disruptors faced early jitters but quickly regained control as Aditya Singh Bhadoria (40 off 14) and Abhishek Verma (28 off 10) built a solid 70-run partnership. Mudasar Khan took center stage with a powerful 48 off 13 balls, smashing four consecutive sixes and leading Mumbai to a thrilling 4-wicket victory with 7 balls to spare. Ankit Nagar, from Punjab Veers took 3 wickets for 27 runs.

With this victory, Mumbai Disruptors will face Haryanvi Hunters in Qualifier 2 tomorrow at 8:30 PM, while Lucknow Lions have already secured their place in the grand finale on Sunday, September 22.
