New Delhi. Udaan Ek Pehal Foundation proudly conducted the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nobel Award-2024 on August 13, 2024, at the Little Theatre Group Auditorium in Mandi House, Delhi. This prestigious event celebrated the legacy of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, honoring individuals who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to patriotism and social service.

The event attracted a distinguished group of guests, with Shri Yadvinder Singh Sandhu, the grandson of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, serving as the chief guest. He was joined by Padma Shri awardee Jitendra Singh Shunty, a respected social worker and founder of the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sewa Dal; Mamta Sharma, former Chairperson of the National Commission for Women; and Shri Jai Bhagwan Goyal, a prominent leader of the United Hindu Front. The event also featured the presence of notable guests such as Commando Surendra Singh, a revered security expert; Sunil Sunny Pujari, a prominent figure from Shri Kalka Ji Temple; Ruby Phogat Yadav; Sub-Inspector Kiran Sethi of the Delhi Police; members of the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Brigade’s Delhi Wing; and Dr. T.M. Onkar, Chairman of the International Human Rights Protection Council.

The ceremony began with a grand welcome by Dr. Deepak Mittal, Chairman of Udaan Ek Pehal Foundation, who extended heartfelt gratitude to the esteemed guests. They were honored with flower garlands, bouquets, mementos, and shawls as tokens of respect and appreciation. The auditorium resonated with applause as the audience, comprising supporters, well-wishers, and patriotic citizens, rose to honor the guests. Following this, the dignitaries jointly lit the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the official commencement of the event.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nobel Award-2024. Approximately 60 individuals from various states, recognized for their extraordinary dedication to social causes and national service, were awarded. These honorees received mementos, medals, certificates, and shawls, each a testament to their unwavering commitment to the ideals championed by Shaheed Bhagat Singh. In a poignant gesture, Shri Yadvinder Singh Sandhu gifted each attendee a copy of Shaheed Bhagat Singh’s jail diary, offering a profound connection to the revolutionary’s enduring legacy.

Entertainment and cultural expression were integral to the event. Dr. Shiv Kumar Kohli, a Self-Defense Trainer with the Delhi Police and a renowned singer, enthralled the audience with his soul-stirring patriotic songs. His performance inspired a wave of national pride, with the entire auditorium joining in the spirit of the music. Additionally, the program featured captivating dance performances by children, who presented a vibrant and energetic display of patriotism through their choreography.

The event concluded with the national anthem, bringing the ceremony to a close with a deep sense of unity and pride. The successful execution of the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nobel Award-2024 by Udaan Ek Pehal Foundation underscored the organization’s dedication to preserving and promoting the values of patriotism, social service, and national pride.
